The Starting Point
Many fitness tools are packed with features but can feel cold or overwhelming. With Strive the goal was to make working out feel achievable and even enjoyable. The big challenge? Bringing together features like chat, scheduling, goal-setting, and tracking in a way that felt natural and easy to use.I took the lead on everything from early concepts to polished UI.
I worked closely with the client to align on priorities and partnered with developers to make sure designs translated well into a working product
Immersive Research
I began by digging into competitor apps and combing through user reviews to see what was working—and what wasn’t. People often struggled with clunky navigation, generic programs, or just not feeling motivated.
I also spoke with a few users directly to hear what keeps them going. The biggest takeaways were: keep it simple, make it encouraging, and help users see their progress.
