The Starting Point
Vibe was conceived as a location-first event discovery platform for users who want quick access to happenings around them. Traditional event apps often suffer from cluttered design, poor filtering, or limited booking features. This product aimed to streamline that experience with intuitive interactions and modern UI design, enabling users to move from discovery to checkout in under a minute.
My role included leading the full app design—from user flows and wireframes to final UI, focusing on accessibility, mobile gestures, and conversion-focused design decisions.
Immersive Research
We kicked off with a review of existing event platforms and user sentiment around them. Recurring frustrations included overcomplicated filters, hard-to-read event listings, and unclear booking flows. I worked closely with the product team to shape early concepts around common user behaviors: spontaneous discovery, casual browsing, and fast checkout.
Internal stakeholders emphasized performance and design scalability as core needs.
